What you will love about Owning a Lawnbott
For those who treasure personal time, enjoy the look and feel of a well groomed yard, but hate the heat, bugs, sweat, and work, associated with the dreaded weekend yard work routine, there is a better way. Imagine a totally automated, intelligent, yard maintenance robot that runs unattended, effortlessly handles the entire yard, and then returns to its base station, to recharge and await the next scheduled mowing cycle.
Let's face it, no one likes giving up their precious summer fun-time, only to spend it pushing or riding on a hot, loud, old fashioned lawnmower. With a Lawnbott&tm;, it does the work, so you don't have to. It is actually fun to watch the machine maneuver around the yard, and the results will amaze you, as it keeps the yard freshly groomed all season.
Setup and installation is easy. Just follow the guide. The lighted display and controls are intuitive and simple to use. Easy to navigate menus allow you to customize the mowing operations for your yard. For example, defining a few different zones lets you to tell the Lawnbott to be sure and mow the part of your yard on the other side of the driveway. You can set it to return to base when rain is detected, or to skip mowing today all together, if it is wet out.
Some of the features you will like:
Smart:
- Monitors the blade-motor speed, knows when it is in tall grass, goes into a spiral pattern to clear the area
- Finds its way to all corners of the yard, and works itself out of tight spots.
- Remembers how much your lawn has grown, and adjusts the interval between mowing automatically
- Runs unattended for weeks at a time, simply keeping your lawn manicured all season, so you don't have to
- It knows where it is, and how to find the base station charger
- When it detects rain, the mowing stops, and it returns to the charger automatically
Efficient:
- Runs for four hours on a single charge
- Remembers how much of the yard it completed, recharges, and automatically goes back out to finish
- Modulates blade speed to spin faster when the grass is taller, and spin down to normal speed in low grass
- Recharge costs pennies, runs for hours, and eliminates environmental noise and emissions issues
- With its smart Lithium-Ion battery, the Lawnbott displays battery power and charge time on the display
Effective:
- Maneuvers around trees, landscaping, holes in yard, and other obstacles, to cover every inch of your yard
- Star shaped blade turns cut grass into fine mulch. There is no raking, bagging, or blowing necessary
- Lugged wheels and low profile allow the Lawnbott&tm; to maneuver steep grades effortlessly
Safe:
- Touch the handle, the blade and wheels stop
- When the Lawnbott bumps into a tree or bush, it backs up, turns, and continues to mow around obstacles
- All electric motors, so it runs quietly. You can actually mow at night without disturbing neighbors
- Pet-friendly, means your dog won't run in fear when it moves across the yard
- If it somehow finds itself outside of your yard, it stops and displays "Out of Zone"
Fun:
- Out of town on holiday or business travel? No worry. The Lawnbott makes sure your yard is mowed while you're away
- Mowing while watching TV, visiting with friends, or out on the town – you've got to love it, especially when it's 100 degrees outside
- Last week, the pizza delivery guy actually sat in the driveway for 10 minutes, watching it work
The Lawnbott was easily one of the smartest "time saving" purchases I have made in some time. I now have my summer back and one of the best looking yards in the neighborhood. It has been two years since I have had to mow manually, and it's still fun watching drivers slow down and stare at the Lawnbott, as they drive past the house. Upgrade your mower and simplify your life.

I have been using robotic lawnmowers since 2006. Living in Florida, my lawn is St. Augustine/Floratam, which is a very thick and spongy type of grass. My first mower was the Robomower from Friendly Robotics. It worked okay at first, but as my lawn matured, I soon realized this mowers limitation. It was fine when it moved forward, but when it tried to cut backwards, it would get stuck. Since it uses lead acid batteries and weighs over 70 pounds, it did not have the power to push the back end through the grass, and would get stuck. During that year, it also went through two gearboxes, which had to be sent to the company to be repaired. Not having a mower for 2 weeks meant I had to do manual cuts, since I knew the Robomower would not be able to handle the longer grass when I got it back. I was frustrated, and decided to sell it.
After a year of using a lawn service, and getting tired of paying $120/month, I started to think about robotic mowers again. I did some research and heard about the Lawnbott. The first thing I noticed was that it was much lighter, since it used lithium ion batteries. Also, it would always cut in a forward motion, which I felt would be important as well. And lastly, I liked that it was user serviceable, and did not have to be sent in for repairs if needed. So, in early 2008, I decided to order the LB3500. I had issues at first because I tried to use my existing Robomower wire, which is a thinner gauge. After rewiring, those errors went away. I did have to make one modification; I noticed the mower would have difficulty spinning around, again due to my grass type. This was easily taken care of by removing the cover and cutting an inch of plastic from each side. Once this was done, problem solved.
The mower has been working perfectly. From March till November, it is cutting every day. For the other months, I have it out 3 days per week. I have had to replace a blade and drive motor, but customer service quickly sent a replacement, and I could change it myself, leaving me with little to no down time. Lawnbott is the only robotic mower that can handle the challenges of cutting my grass type. It will most certainly be able to handle your lawn. The only thing I need now is a robotic trimmer!

We purchased our LawnBott 3500 in 2008, after a lot of research. Our yard is quite challenging, with over an acre of grass, lots of trees and obstacles, and some hilly areas. It took us some trial and error to get the perimeter wire set correctly, but we finally got it nearly perfected. It can be a learning experience with a yard like ours, but I enjoyed the challenge.
At first, there were a few issues with our bott (my wife calls it Toby) or yard layout, but no matter what happened, Kyodo America was there on the phone offering whatever it took to get us going again, with everything under full warranty. Satisfaction is always coming by FEDEX with just a phone call.
I would have to say that the best thing about having Toby on the job every day is that he handles the areas of our yard that were extremely difficult to do with a riding mower. Also, our lawn never really looks like it has been mowed, or needs to be mowed. Kind of like if you got a haircut every few days! No grass clippings to rake or dump anymore either.

We really enjoy being able to sit on the deck and enjoy our yard, watching Toby doing the work. And it is especially entertaining to have a new person watch Toby for the first time. They cannot believe what they are seeing!
Overall we have been very pleased. There will always be the odd thing to pay attention to, maybe a dog toy left in the yard that got chopped up, but the great majority of the time all goes well.

I had been watching robotic lawn mowers since I saw my first one at Walt Disney's EPCOT in 2000. I decided to make the purchase last year (2010). I waited for the technology to advance far enough for the mower to be pretty much hands off. I noticed the LawnBott mowers were just that. I thought it would be completely hands off, but it does take some attending, broken wire here, out of bounds there, and dead battery before it reached the base. About 95% of the time you don't need to do anything, but there are always times when you need to interact with the mower and get it going again. It's simple enough to do that I have my 12 year old daughter help me out when I'm not home.
Since installing the lawn mower, I have had two big problems, but LawnBott was right there to help me out and next day me parts at no cost. (Still under warranty) So I was back mowing in no time. You've probably read the website and know all the features of the mower, so I won't explain those. The mower just keeps the lawn looking just mowed all the time. It doesn't get really long before getting cut like my neighbor's lawn.
We tried a lawn service and the lawn would look great for about 2 to 3 days, then need to be mowed again and the service didn't come back to day 7 or 8 and the lawn was looking shaggy. After being cut, the lawn would brown up from the shock of having so much cut off, and so on. The fee for the mowing was $70/Week, or $280 a month, or $2,240 a season. It was a no brainer to by the LawnBott since I couldn't cut the lawn myself without triggering my asthma. My wife said she wanted to cut the lawn, but in 90° heat that didn't last long. I tried having my children cut the lawn, that didn't work either. Enter LawnBott. At the end of this season the LawnBott will have paid for itself and my lawn mowing will be free from there on.
My wife who hates everything technical or geeky, but she loves the LawnBott, I love the LawnBott, my kids love the LawnBott. We even named the LawnBott "Clippy". I took some pictures of my lawn at the property line with my neighbor's lawn and looking back towards my driveway so you can see how it looks all the time. My neighbor uses a lawn service and only has a nice looking lawn a couple of days a week. Mine looks mint all the time. The LawnBott cuts such a small amount of the grass that it mulches it into a powder and all the nutrients go right back into the soil. At least that's what my fertilizer company says.
Most of my neighbors choose the Green colored riding mowers. All that gas, storage and maintenance, I just couldn't stomach another gigantic machine with an engine around the garage. I thought my neighbors would have asked more questions about the mower, but I think it so over the top that they don't even talk to me about it. Passersby will stop, watch it, and talk to me about it. It's definitely fun to watch.
I thought there would be a bigger fear of theft of my mower, but I don't worry about it one bit. Without the password and the power supply and the transmitter it's useless to anyone else.
The bottom line if you are debating whether or not to purchase the LawnBott just BUY IT already and make your life easier.

We are absolutely thrilled with our "LawnBott" LB3210 Evolution robotic mower!
This is one of the best investments we have ever made. We term it investment because it is an investment in OUR TIME, which is very important to us. Our grass which is "zoysia" used to have to be mowed frequently, but not just that, we also had to rake and bag the entire lawn as well, which meant we were spending most of our time doing lawnwork. NO MORE!
We purchased a "LawnBott" LB3210 Evolution mower, which now does all the work for us. It both mows and mulches the clippings at the same time. It took us a while to get the yard wired properly, but, once completed, found the mower to be such a blessing, as we no longer spend our time mowing.
The LawnBott LB3210 does it all! Plus, our yard looks absolutely beautiful all the time! And we now spend our time doing other things, such as relaxing, using our pool, going to the beach, or just doing NOTHING AT ALL!
Our yard is approximately 10,000 sq. ft., with just a slight incline from the street to the house. People driving by are constantly stopping and gazing in awe as the mower just goes back and forth across the lawn, doing its job. Most will ask, "Where did you get that? We would love to have one of those!"
Yes, we are extremely happy with our robotic mower. WHAT AN AWESOME PRODUCT!

"Back yards are for playing not working"
With over 9000 square feet of grass to mow it quickly became clear that cutting the grass the old way was a terrible option. I turned to a Lawnbott 3500 and won't be turning back. Now my grass always has that fresh cut look and is very healthy as a result of the daily cutting. The LawnBott is so quiet that I have my mowing periods in the early morning and late evening so the entire day is left for playing on the grass.
Another huge advantage is the low environmental impact: no emissions, no gas smell, no smoke from poor oil/gas mixtures. To top it all off… customer service has been exceptional. The LawnBott customer service team has stepped up and resolved any issue or question that I've had over the past 2 + years. It's very rare to find a company who stands behind the product these days.
So claim your back yard back, claim your weekend back, get a LawnBott and never look back!

I got my LawnBott LB3500 over 2 years ago and it has been so far one of the best investments I have made in my life. My house is on almost an acre plot with a mixture of Fescue and Bermuda grass it requires mowing almost every week starting in March through almost the end of November and I was either spending a lot of time mowing it myself or paying a lot for unreliable mowing services every year.
When I decided to try out the LawnBott the hardest part was convincing my wife but now 2 years later she absolutely loves it and we call it the hardest working member of our family. It is out there mowing the lawn for 6-8 hours a day on average and our lawn look like a golf course pretty much all the time.
At first my neighbors thought our LawnBott was another one of my robotic toys that I keep buying and even though they didn't say anything I could make out they were very skeptical when I told them it was a lawn mower. Nowadays they tell me that they can't wait for their riding lawn mowers to break down so they can buy a lawnbott themselves! The LawnBott has allowed me to free up my Saturdays and that is priceless as I have more time to spend with my family and have fun instead of wasting time mowing my lawn in the heat.
I strongly believe that very soon robotic lawn mowers will replace traditional lawn mowers and I highly recommend the LawnBott because it is the best in the market and is backed with exceptional customer service.

I just wanted to comment what a wonderful experience we have had with our 3500 LawnBott, Tito. Yes he is like a member of the family with his own name. For the last three years, we just sit in the front porch watching him work hard, while we enjoy a beer or a glass of wine. A lot of the kids in the neighbourhood, an adults also, come to watch Tito.
We have a 1.3 acre lot with about half an acre of lawn with probably a 30 degree incline or more in about half of the lawn area, and Tito keeps the lawn as it was just trimmed the day before at about 2.75 inches. Everyone is amazed that he is able to keep-up with the grass being so little. One of the biggest shows is when he is going back to the recharging station at the end of the cycle and he is trimming the edge of the lawn around the driveway and the walkway. My wife almost cried when we sent Tito for a well deserved upgrade to 3510. I tell you this is one of the nice things about your product, that any upgrade is available for the previous model. That way the robot is always up-to-date with the latest technology.

After 2 years, I still love my Lawnbott LB3210. I have a mildly sloping 3/4-acre yard with a variety of grasses and trees split into 2 zones, and the LB3210 handles it with aplomb. I get a kick out of coming home after work to see the robot wandering around the yard. It sure beats coming home to lawn mowing chores! And my weekends are free to pursue my hobbies.
When we bought our house, we compared the cost of a lawn service to buying a Lawnbott, and decided in the robot's favor. Little did we know how much fun it would be to watch the robot and show it off to our friends and family. Sometimes we know the robot is out even before we see it, due to the squeals of delight coming from our neighbors' children. They love Bottie just as much as we do, and everyone is fascinated about all the features and engineering that went into this machine.

I have used a LawnBott 3500 for several years, since it first came out. Prior to that time, I owned a previous LawnBott, the LB3200. The LawnBott is my only means of mowing the lawn, which is about a half an acre of centipede grass.
The LawnBott works well. It paid for itself after one year of use when compared to charges by lawn services in our area.

Since my yard is about 15,000 sq ft, it used to take me hours to mow and edge. Now my Lawnbott comes out twice a day, mows and allows me to spend more quality time with my family. Currently all I have to do to maintain a beautiful, lush yard is fertilize, water and treat for weeds.
Additionally I'm no longer paying a company to service my lawn and the Lawnbott is already paying for itself! I set my Lawnbott to cut my tall fescue to 3 1/8" in autonomous mode and although I have a slope of almost 30 degrees in my front yard, Lawnbott never misses a single blade of grass.

My name is Mark and I am a Lawn Artist. Robotic mowing gives me the ability to maintain my lawn with much tighter tolerances than traditional mowing. By maintaining the grass with different heights and cutting frequencies, I can 'emboss' my yard thus creating a 'lawn tattoo'.
Utilizing the boundary wire as if I were delimiting a garden, I have created the image of a dragon with a 50 ft wingspan in my backyard. By adding switches, I can reverse the border polarity. To mow outside the design the polarity runs counter-clockwise. To mow inside the design, I raise the blade height and switch the polarity to run clockwise which keeps the bot inside the design.
My Lawnbott has turned a chore into a hobby, and added a new dimension to lawn care. I have seen light planes and helicopters circle overhead looking at the design. I can only guess what they must be thinking. Now I am waiting for satellite images on the internet to be updated in my area. I am sure it will be visible. The only answer to the question 'Why create a design in the lawn?' is 'Because I can!'

In Early 2007 we moved to a home on an acre of land. I was not excited about riding, marinating and storing a riding lawnmower. I was also not excited about paying a lawn service to mow the yard weekly. So, I went on the internet to look for a better solution. After much study I decided to purchase a Lawnbott with two batteries. After receiving "Mow" I proceeded to wire the yard parameter, trees, etc. and put him to work. It took a while to learn where I made mistakes in the wire routes and how to run him in the three zones I had set up. During that time my wife referred to him as our juvenile delinquent. By this summer I had things well sorted out. All summer he worked two 4 hour shifts a day, 6 days a week. The lawn stayed perfectly cut and all I had to do was to trim.
Like any other mechanical device Mow needs maintenance. This is hard to remember when you have a mower that minds its own business. Once I understood that concept, Mow runs quite reliable. Mow runs about 48 hours a week, so once a month I sharpen the blade, look for unusual things, check to see all is still tight and clean whatever needs cleaning. The only negative was early on I had some drive wheel motor problems. The factory quickly replaced the bad motors. Factory support has been exceptional.
I am happy with Mow. He still stops traffic and the best way to explain to the neighbors where I live is to simply say I live in the house with the robot lawnmower. It is nice to come home from work at night and see Mow out front taking care of business.

Hi, I wanted to write to you to tell you how happy I am with my LawnBott. I have had my Evolution for about 2 years and couldn't be more pleased. My Bott helps to maintain the grassy areas of my garden special events facility, which is used for weddings and other gatherings. The LawnBott keeps a beautiful lawn and helps me to not worry about the grass and concentrate on providing the perfect special events venue to my new friends. Since these events can take place on any day of the week, the Bott's multi-day scheduling helps to ensure that our gardens are always looking their best.
